Definitely agree this looks much more awesome. But this look was unsustainable over the years due to all the wind at this spot on the coast. So much sand would fly out that it wasn’t possible to keep the sand consistent. The bunker edges now are contoured in a way to keep most of the sand from blowing out.
Personally I like bunkers as a hazard, where lies are unpredictable, but I think people shelling out Pebble Beach money disagree..
